Paintball is the new CrossFit!

Move over, CrossFit. There’s a new way to hit your fitness goals, and it doesn't involve staring at a gym wall.

When most people think of paintball, they picture the tactical gear and the thrill of the chase. But in 2026, paintball has evolved into a legitimate holistic workout. At Delta Force Paintball, we’ve traded the bruises for high-tech combat suits and padded protection, leaving you with nothing but pure adrenaline.

If you’re looking for an active day out that beats the treadmill, here are seven reasons why paintball is actually good for you:

1. High-Intensity Interval Cardio

Paintball is the ultimate HIIT workout. Whether you’re sprinting between bunkers or making a dash for the flag, your heart rate will be in the "burn zone" before the first smoke grenade clears. It’s a cardio blast that improves endurance without the monotony of a jog.

2. Tactical Brain Training

Think of paintball as "Extreme Chess." It’s not just about who’s fastest; it’s about strategy, communication, and reading your opponent’s next move. Navigating our movie-set game zones requires sharp mental focus and quick problem-solving under pressure—keeping your "brain cogs" turning.

3. The Natural Endorphin High

Exercise releases endorphins, but competitive exercise adds a layer of dopamine that a solo gym session can’t match. Combining physical exertion with the "win" of a successful mission triggers a massive release of happy hormones, leaving you feeling elevated long after the day is over.

4. Functional Strength (The "Paintball Glow")

Want functional gains? Try army-crawling through a rainforest valley or holding a squat behind a tombstone. Paintball targets your core, glutes, and quads through natural, explosive movements. It’s full-body conditioning disguised as a Hollywood action movie.

5. Digital Detox and Connection

In a world dominated by screens, paintball offers a rare opportunity to completely disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with humans. Spending the day running around iconic props with your mates is the perfect antidote to "zoom fatigue." It’s about being present in the moment with the people you love (and occasionally shooting at the ones you love a little less).

6. Stress Relief Through Catharsis

There is something deeply therapeutic about the "splat." Letting off steam in a controlled, safe, and high-energy environment is a fantastic way to vent the stresses of the work week. It’s physical catharsis at its finest.

7. Teamwork and Leadership

Whether it's a corporate team-building day or a 13th birthday party, paintball builds bonds. You learn to trust your teammates, cover their backs, and lead a squad to victory. Those social bonds are a key pillar of long-term mental health and happiness.

  • Delta Force PaintballYep, it’s that time of year folks... Offices small and large are having their annual Christmas party. Just the words "Christmas Party" can stir up feelings of dread, excitement, and honestly, a little bit of fear. Oh, and embarrassment, let's not forget what happened last year... Organisers run through all the possible scenarios in the pursuit of the perfect day. What if there’s not enough food? What if Sam from sales gets drunk again? Is the Santa costume too much? And Secret Santa. Don’t even get me started on the stress of Secret Santa. This year at Delta Force HQ we did something a little different. We enjoyed a delicious lunch (there was definitely enough food). And then we entered the car park (not the most glamorous of venues, we'll admit), feeling curious and excited. It’s a tradition at HQ that the day is a complete surprise, so it was a mystery. We were ready for the challenge, whatever it was. There on the ground sat a boxed bike, a helmet, a toolkit and a bag of what can only be described as Duplo on steroids. It was simple, beat or be beaten. we had to work as a team to achieve victory. We were split into our teams (signified by some beautiful coloured caps), and experienced a team building marathon like no other. Delta Force Paintball
We all learnt a few things that day.
    1. Justin can rap like no other, and has dance moves that rival Michael Jackson. 2. Terry is a master of Jenga with cat-like reflexes that we'd never seen before. 3. Sharon likes to win (we already knew that, but we think it's worth mentioning). As the day drew to a close, we started our final challenge- building the bikes. Team vs. team, we struggled to build the bikes as quickly as possible. There was some stealing of tools, but a little bit of sabotage never hurt anyone. Our bikes were certified as safe to ride.

And then it was over.Delta Force Paintball

    But not quite.

The sweaty, satisfied  Delta Force HQ crew were in for a surprise.
The bikes we had just built were not for our own childlike amusement. Rather, these special bikes would be given to children in need. Children in our own backyard. These children were from homes affected by alcohol and drug abuse. They have endured experiences that many of us will never know. Family friends, aunties and more often than not their aging grandparents were charged with raising them. A special group called the Mirabel Foundation works with these children, to support and guide them as they grow up. They work tirelessly to provide these children with a normal, happy childhood, and that’s what the bikes were for. Because every child deserves a bike. Delta Force PaintballWe watched the kids come one by one to pick up their bikes, our awesome staff helping them to ride around our car park. They were shy at first, but after a helping hand and a smile they were grinning and racing around in no time. It’s not often you get to experience that kind of innocent joy. This Christmas is going to be a little more special for us here at Delta Force HQ. It’s not often you really step back to think about how lucky you truly are. We can take for granted our loving family and friends. Many of these children can’t. But hopefully a few of these children will have a brighter Christmas this year, and that's enough to keep us smiling. We can’t wait for our Christmas party next year, though I’m not quite sure how it will possibly beat this year’s. Have a Merry Christmas, from the Delta Force Paintball Crew.
  • Bucks days at Delta Force Paintball

A bucks day he’ll never forget. It’s almost your mate’s special day. He’s gonna tie the knot soon. What to bring to paintball And you’re the man who is meant to plan the best send off possible. What better way to send your stag off than to dress him up and send him out with a paintball gun and a few of his best mates? Paintball is the perfect activity to get the boys geared up for a night of dubious choices and some stories you’d rather forget. Maple Ridge Paintball CA Here’s how a day at Delta Force Paintball looks for a bucks party. You can book by calling one of our event coordinators at any time of the day. They are available and will help you plan everything to give your stag the best send off possible. On the day you’ll arrive and get kitted up by our marshals. Here’s the chance to get you stag all dressed up in one of our Onesies, or you could all wear your own costumes. We recommend you all buy a group pack (you don’t want to run out of paintballs when the stag is on the loose!). Don’t forget to let the marshals know who the guest of honour is; they’ll give him some special treatment! Maple Ridge Paintball CA From here you’ll have a safety briefing, and then it’s time for battle! Of course you’ll have breaks in between games, where you can rehydrate (sorry, no alcohol), and refuel for the next match. You can order pizzas for the group for lunch, or bring your own food. We recommend bringing plenty of water; you don’t want the stag getting dehydrated! Your action packed day will see your squad battle it out in pyramids, black hawk helicopters and sniper towers, and will be a day the stag will never forget. Maple Ridge Paintball CA
